This qualification represents the role of workers in community and residential settings (such as residential aged care facilities) who implement individualised plans to provide person-centered care to individuals needing support due to aging, disability, or other reasons. Workers are increasingly required to support individuals in their homes, address complex needs, and tailor care approaches to meet specific needs, emphasising increased client choice.
- Location: Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart & Sydney.
Intake & Duration: Monthly intake and course duration is 12 months.
Outcome: As a qualified professional, you can pursue roles such as aged care support worker, disability support worker, assistant in nursing, personal care assistant in residential aged care facilities, respite care worker, community-based care worker, and retirement village care worker.
Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Year 12 Certificate (or equivalent) or Adult Entry
- English Language Proficiency:
- IELTS: Overall score of 5.5 (no band score less than 5.0)
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 46
- PTE Academic: Overall score of 42 (minimum of 36 in each band)
- Cost: $5,500 – $10,500
